Snooping Around... The world's most expensive Ice-cream

Here is the world's most expensive ice cream, served with a wonderful jewel.
A bistro restaurant in New York, with the collaboration of a well-known jewellery,  has created something truly prestigious. The homemade ice-cream is vanilla-flavored while the sorbet is made using the most prestigious French champagne in the world, the Dom Pérignon. Also chocolate truffles, macarons and soft cookie brownie pieces, the ever-present whipped cream under a waterfall of chocolate sauce laced with vodka. The final garnish made of edible gold leaves. These are all the main ingredients of the Pasang Mauboussin Sundae.
However, what makes this big ice cream cup extraordinarily tasty, which the Restaurant Bagatelle in New York serves for the modest sum of $1000, is the jewel that accompanies the dessert: a gorgeous black and white gold steel ring signed Mauboussin. The artisan jewellery Mauboussin has designed the jewel exclusively for the restaurant, inspired by his previous collection.

But the Malboussin Mega Sundae is not the first ice cream with an exorbitant price: in 2004, The Serendipity 3 restaurant in New York celebrated its 50th anniversary by offering the Golden Opulence Sundae, that has earned the nomination in the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive ice cream cup ever made.
Among the ingredients an edible gold leaf, hot chocolate by Amedei, also regarded as the most expensive in the world, a sweet-caviar garnish infused in a passion fruit sauce, served in a Baccarat Crystal Cup with 18K gold spoon.

The Serendipity 3 is also famous for its Frozen Haute Chocolate, a 25.000 dollar hot chocolate. Strangely, during their presentation, neither of the two desserts were sold.

GOSH I WONDER WHY?!?!
